Compliance policy to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC
According to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances(RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC the European Parliament states restrictions for the usage of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products. The 2002/95/EC directive is active since July 1st 2006 with some product category’s excluded.
Due to the nature of the by TQC supplied electrical and electronic products the RoHS directive does not restrict the usage of the in the directive stated hazardous substances. All supplied electrical and electronic products supplied by TQC fall into the monitoring and control instruments classification (category 9) of the RoHS directive and therefore exempt.
Considering the exemption of the supplied electrical and electronic products TQC recognizes the need to produce RoHS compliant equipment. TQC is working to supply only RoHS compliant equipment, free of the stated hazardous goods. All new products will be produced as RoHS compliant as possible.
Many of the electrical and electronic products supplied to us by third party manufacturers fall into the exempt category and therefore we will continue to work with these suppliers to ensure that these products are, in the future, RoHS compliant, and create a reliable supply of equipment with the highest quality standards.
