RAL Digital 4.01
RAL is now offering a creative tool for jacket pockets. With the new RAL DIGITAL 4.01 USB flash memory, architects, designers, tradesmen and amateur colour designers can retrieve the colour information they need on the spot.
RAL DIGITAL 4.01 on flash memory (Window or Mac) runs on every computer – in the full version – and colourises files (motifs and objects) of all types in the selected RAL colour.
RAL DIGITAL finds the colour that matches the original colour and also specifies which RAL colours correspond to any user-defined colour.
RAL DIGITAL provides new CMYK colour values for RAL CLASSIC, RAL DESIGN and RAL EFFECT. For RAL CLASSIC and RAL EFFECT, the CMYK values were sampled manually for the highest possible degree of precision.
With 2,328 RAL colours, RAL DIGITAL is the basis for perfect, professional on-screen colour design. The following functions and modules manage individual or ideal colour design using the CIELAB colour circle:
-Colour harmony – calculates harmonious colour compositions based on an original colour
-Next RAL colour – converts the colours that correspond to an original colour into the RAL system (e.g. NCS -> RAL)
-Colour combinations – compiles random colour combinations
-Colour values – displays the exact Lab/HLC/RGB/HEX and CMYK colour values of all the RAL colours in RAL CLASSIC, RAL EFFECT and RAL DESIGN
-Colour designer – colourises images using the colours required
-Colour pipette – extracts the RGB colour values from any file type
-Colour overviews – verify the precision of the RAL colour palettes in individual systems here
-Palette installer –easily integrates RAL colour palettes into approx. 30 software products in the architecture and graphic design areas (Photoshop, Corel, Nemetschek and many others)
-Complementary colours – calculates colour opposites, complementary contrasts and true harmonies
-Brightness and saturation variations – vary the brightness and saturation level of a colour here
-3D colour space – displays colour systems in the CIELab colour space

COLORCATCH

The TQC Colorcatch 3 allows professional painters to measure and match the coating color with the most popular color cards (NCS, RAL ...). On board integrated NCS and RAL cards are compared with the measured color and the corresponding card number is presented on the display. Color cards from known paint manufacturers and coating manufacturers can be downloaded via the internet. Its use is simple: place the TQC ColorCatch3 on the flat surface, click and it will instantly indicate the two nearest color codes it has found in its palette memory. The TQC Colorcatch 3: • Saves up to 90% time while assessing the right color. • Eliminates common made visual color assessment mistakes. • Simplifies communication between (counter) parties. • Suffices with measurements taken on the spot, no hassle bringing back samples. Whereas the colorcatch 3 has its own display, the Colorcatch Nano is an accessory to be used with an iPhone, iPad iPod or a tablet/smartphone with Android.

RAL Classic Colours

The RAL CLASSIC Colour Collection The 4-digit RAL colours have been the standard for choosing colours for more than 70 years now. At the beginning the colour collection included 40 different colours. Its number has risen to 213 today. The basic collection for matt colour shades is called RAL 840-HR, the one for glossy colour shades RAL 841-GL. Both basic collections contain colour samples that are being used by important institutions to cover a wide range of applications and are constantly adapted to the requirements of the industry. The registers are being used as colour samples for designs. They also contain safety- and signalling colours and fulfil the colour requirements of DIN regulations.
