2007-07-30: TQC inspects superyacht

Van Zonderen Yachtpainting in The Netherlands not only paints interiors of pleasure yachts. Recently they finished a superyacht. This yacht, 82 meters in length was built by OceAnco in Alblasserdam (The Netherlands).

Quality was the keyword. It’s the only yacht in its category to feature an innovative pool that transforms into a helipad.

In order to check the quality of the painting during and after application Van Zonderen use inspection equipment of TQC. A viscosity cup for the viscosity of the paint, DewCheck for climatic conditions, a 456 FNF Coating thickness gauge, the Bresle kit for chloride tests, a cross cut test to check up on the adhesion and a master paint plate multi tool. For personal protection Van Zonderen use a personal oxygen explosion monitor.

Just before the superyacht emerged from the shipyard George Moonen and Rene Bode (both TQC) were invited to inspect Van Zonderen’s achievement A once in a lifetime chance they obviously couldn’t resist.
