Can the Positector 200 measure on steel?

It is possible to measure on steel, but only when the coating thickness is more than 75 micron. These results however are less accurate then those aquired with the Positector 6000. All measurements with the use of an ultrasonic thickness guage on steel are not covered by any standard.

Can the 200 measure coating thickness on plaster applied to a steel structure?

Yes this is possible. The Positector 200 is specially designed to do this. even the steel behind the plaster will be no problem.
