Many customers requested the old Cross-Cut tape, because they felt the adhesion of the new Cross-Cut tape is lower.

This feeling is right but what is old and what is new? For this we need to take a closer look to the ISO2409 standard over the last 10 years.

ISO2409:1999
Adhesive strength: between 10 and 16 Newton per 25mm width
Minimum length: 50mm
Tape width: 25mm

ISO2409:2003
Adhesive strength: between 9 and 11 Newton per 25mm width
Minimum length: 50mm
Tape width: 25mm

ISO2409:2007
Adhesive strength: between 6 and 10 Newton per 25mm width
Minimum length: not specified.
Tape width: 50mm

TQC decided to put the old tape at stock again, the two tapes can be identified as follows:
The tape that is supplied for the ISO2409:1999:
Article number: SP3020
Adhesive strength: 19 Newton per 25mm width

The tape that is supplied for the ISO2409:2003:
Article number: SP3007
Adhesive strength: 10,75 Newton per 25mm width

The tape that is needed for the ISO2409:2007 is not available yet, this due to errors in the ISO standard.
