The TQC Automatic Cupping tester is an automatic test machine to perform a cupping (Erichsen) test on coated steel panels to define the resistance of paint, varnish or related products to cracking and/or detachment from a metal substrate when subjected to gradual deformation by indentation under standard conditions.

The TQC Automatic Cupping tester is driven by a micro-step controlled electro motor which allows precise and steady deformation with 0,01 mm steps. Operation is intuitive by means of a jog-dial switch and a multi-lingual operating menu on a large illuminated display.An integrated LED powered sample illumination system comforts examining the coating under test. To guarantee maximum visibility of all possible types of surface including high gloss, matte or colored samples the angle of the LED light can be set. Choose light from just one or all directions. The strength of the LED’s is adjustable but also the colors can be changed to achieve maximum contrast.

The prototype of the TQC Washability and Abrasion test will be shown for the first time on the ECS 2011.

TQC Washability and Abrasion test is a universal machine for testing materials such as coatings, ink, textile, wood, plastics etc. for wear resistivity. Dry or liquid conventional brushes are moved across the surface, dry or with liquid added. Two simultaneous comparative tests are possible.

Four test stations make it possible to test four samples simultaneously. For wet testing the TQC abrasion testers are equipped with dual dosing pumps and twin-basin drip tray. This makes it possible to test simultaneously with two different liquids.

And the TQC Washability and Abrasion test has many more features. Visit TQC in Hall 9, stand 357 to learn more.

Handbook Corrosion is from now on available for free. The handbook is part of the TQC course Corrosion Testing and used to be available for free for anyone who attended this course.

This study book about corrosion testing gives trained and untrained users further insight in the required techniques for corrosion testing. Corrosion principles just as possible interferences in and around the cabinet are discussed. Interpretations and reporting are also tackled.

Efficiently operating and using a corrosion test cabinet leads to great savings. Unnecessary waiting time from sample transport to external laboratories is no longer an issue. Correct assessment of the results is also one of the discussed issues.

Practically all instruments purchased at TQC can be maintained, repaired, and reset or calibrated (certificate included). All we need is a completed RMA form and the instrument (with probes if necessary).

Experience has learned that providing quotes causes delay in repair and calibration time. Therefore TQC has decided to no longer provide quotes if the costs are below Eur. 100.00. These repairs and calibrations will be processed automatically and costs are shown on the invoice. The amount of Eur. 100.00 is excl. transports costs and certification costs (if required).
