TQC is pleased to announce the next generation of non-contact, uncured powder thickness gages.
The TQC PowderChecker XP measures uncured powder coatings using ultrasonic technology to automatically calculate and display a predicted cured thickness. Measuring powder thickness before the oven improves the set-up of the powder line, generate production-time savings and minimises scrap.

This new instrument is designed to be used in a production environment. Operating the Powder Coating meter is simple due to the large menu driven display. No calibration is required for most powders. A flexible rubber protective holster protects the instruments body while the measuring probe is connected via Blue-Tooth® which means no risk for possible cable damage or mechanical disturbance of the powder due to the cable touching painted parts.

Over 1000 readings in up to 100 batches can be stored in the instruments internal memory. Downloading to a PC is done through a simple USB cable.

The TQC Dolly Drill is the perfect tool to remove the excess of glue and cut through the coating around dollies in order to prepare the dolly for the adhesion test. Fixed positioning is assured with the three strong magnets, allowing the drill to remove the coating around the dolly without putting any force on the dolly. Manually removing the access of glue and cutting through the coating is a hard job for inspectors that have to do many tests a day, which results in wrist and arm pains. The TQC Dolly Drill eases their work considerably, and increases the accuracy of the pull off adhesion tests because of a perfect vertical cutting movement down to the metal.

For the best reproducible results use the Adhesion tester AT (art.nr. LD9301), with the hydraulics and auto positioning feature of the pull-off head.

The Wolf Willborn tester has been redesigned. The changes include the replacement of ball- by slide bearings, which result in a smoother movement.

The former pencil set is replaced by the new Koh-i-noor 1500 pencil set, which consists of 20 pencils in an aluminum case. The ISO 15184 standard refers to this Koh-i-noor 1500 pencil set.

The new set of pencils is standard supplied with the single and the dual weight Wolff Wilborn version. Just like the other TQC equipment a calibration certificate is part of the standard supply as well.

The new DewCheck 4 Series 2 is now standard supplied with a USB communication cable (art. No DC7510) and the TQC Dewlog Analysis software.

This software is the most advanced temperature and humidity monitoring software package for Dewpoint Meters available today.

It offers user friendly reporting functions for standard production work as well as advanced calculations for in depth analysis of the climate parameters prior to coating. Detailed graphic representations and customizable reports help to make the right decisions.

From now on available: Machu Test Bath (11 ltr) with container (4 ltr)

The Machu test is an accelerated corrosion test on test panels and construction parts according to Qualicoat specifications.

The test is made in a warm environment. To create this the test panels are placed in the container, which is placed in the Machu Test bath.

The test panels need to be scratched crosswise with a 1mm cutting tool, like the TQC Machu Scratching Tool Basic or Professional. The TQC Machu Scratching Tool Basic has a self positioning knife bracket to expose the substrate with a perpendicular cut through the coating. The TQC Machu Scratching Tool Professional features adjustable cutting depth and two ball bearings to guide the cut. This guarantees reproducible results.

The scratched test panels are then placed in the warm moisture test chamber. The fluid content, temperature and remain time are specified.

The Machu Test is a mandatory test in Qualicoat, QIB and GSB accredited laboratories.

The Bresle Kit is now supplied with certified buffer solutions and a calibration certificate. Each solution is standardized according ASTM D-1125, (1982) using a conductivity meter that is calibrated with a NIST traceable primary standard. The bottles containing the solution are tagged with a batch number, which is referring to the included calibration certificate.

The TQC DewCheck is over 15 years the ideal solution to determine dewpoint and climatic conditions during paint jobs.

However in certain situations the costs of a sophisticated electronic instrument like DewCheck create budget problems. For those situations we introduce a lo-tech solution with a set of products.

TM0081 Sling Psychrometer measures air temperature and humidity with alcohol filled glass thermometers.

TM0040 Dewpoint calculator is a handy tool to determine dewpoint temperature based upon the measurements from the sling psychrometer.

TM0015 Magnetic surface thermometer indicates the surface temperature of carbon steel.

With this trio of products the relevant climate conditions can be measured with just a low investment. They also offer a solution for situations where an electronic instrument may not be used because of explosion hazards.

The TQC Buchholz Indentation Test has been reviewed and now comes with a renewed method to mark the indentation spot.

With the new template accurately marking the test area makes it easy to localize the indentation spot. To visualize the spot on any colour coating the TQC Buchholz Indentation Test is now supplied with two markers: black and white.

With the new method the previously supplied transparent stickers become unnecessary. Like our other test equipment the TQC Buchholz Indentation Test is now standard supplied with a calibration certificate.

The TQC Wet Film Comb made of plastic, to measure wet film thickness between 25 and 900µm. The TQC Wet Film Comb is designed as a disposable thickness gauge. It can be kept as a record of wet film thickness measurement for ISO or customer requirements.

One side of the comb measures the wet film thickness in µm (30 steps between 25 and 900µm)., the other side measures in mills (30 steps between 1 and 35 mils)
