Taber Abrasers don't wear out
|
|
Measure and test devices for quality control are typically of high standard. They have to be since they are being used to test the quality of other products. The service life of these devices usually is very long, sometimes extremely long.
One of TQC’s customer's, one of world’s largest producers of synthetic materials, contacted TQC because they needed an extra Taber Abraser. They already had an apparatus that was in use on a daily basis. To extend the capacity of the laboratory a second device was necessary.
While installing TQC’s technical advisor came upon a fully operational Taber machine comstructed in 1952. For 56 years this device has been used daily without malfunctioning. Taber Abrasion Testers obviously are a wise investment for the long term.

PCE will describe good practice and new technology for protecting industrial and marine structures in clear, practical terms that readers may apply in their day to day operation.

Rizla Racing Days positive for TQC Racing Team
|

The TQC Racing team stayed ahead of their main competitors during the Rizla Racing Days in Assen (The Netherlands).
The race on saturday started on a dry track. Driver Robert de Graaff managed to drive the Viper into the second position. The change of drivers unfortunately went completely wrong. A malfunctioning seatbelt took valuable seconds and by the time second driver Philippe Ribbens was on the track, the Viper was in fifth position. Philippe however, managed to finish the race in second place.
The sunday race seemed to stay dry as well, but fifteen minutes before the beginning of the race it started to rain. The technicians decided to change the set-up of the car and the tires, despite the little time that was left. This seemed to be the right choice. Driver Philippe Ribbens had a good start but decided to slow down his pace a bit to get adjusted to the extremely wet track.
Robert de Graaff drove the second part of the race. He had to face a drive through penalty because the Viper’s pitstop lasted one second too short. Nevertheless he managed to finish second.
